Schwarzkopf Live Color XXL Hair Dye - Mystic-Violet V87 (On Bleached Hair) Review

Superdrug

It's been agessss since i've last wrote about my hair! >.< As a few people requested me to do so again, I shall with my most recent hair colour (which I will be getting rid of this week lululul and no my hair will not fall off!). I died a little inside before I dyed my hair this colour because I didn't want to get rid of my pastel hair! I needed to dye it darker to get my Identity Card done. Never do I want to dye my hair back black and brown is toooo boring, so opting out for a dark purple seemed like a good choice. Dark enough for my ID, yet still gives me a pop of colour. I didn't take a photo of the box contents this time, as it's your typical usuals - developer, colour cream, after treatment, instruction leaflet and gloves.

Hair Dying Process:

I first mixed the developer and colour cream together to form the dye and then applied it to my hair in sections. The dye is dark so it will stain your hands, be sure to wear the gloves provided or your own! The gloves provided are the really big, it won't cling onto your hands, so it may provide difficulties to people with small hands (actuallyyyyy including my average sized hands too) during application. One box was enough to cover my long, my hair has been thinned out so you may require another hair if you have thick hair. After 30 minutes, I rinsed out the hair dye and applied the after treatment. The after treatment is average, it wasn't bad but it didn't leave my hair noticeably soft either.

Results:

My hair colour before dying it - lilac and pastel pink ombre~ I MISS THIS COLOUR! T___T

After 30 minutes of dying. The colour matches the box perfectly!

The second my hair was dried I loveeeedddd it and couldn't stop staring at it for a few minutes. Got to appreciate the beautiful vivid colour you know! It makes me look more approachable now lolol - some people were intimidated by my pastel pink hair before .___. (sorrryyyyy - trust me i'm actually nice and don't bite! Maybe ^.<) I found Mystic Violet lasted longer than the other colours i've tried from the Live Colour XXL range. The dye made my hair look healthier and shinier so kudos to this dye!

Pros:

  • Beautiful vibrant colour
  • Make hair appear shinier and healthier
  • Easy to use
  • Even coverage
  • Easily accessible from any UK drugstore

Cons:

  • Contains ammonia
  • Gloves are too big

Rating: 9/10

What hair colour are you currently rocking? Tell me in the comments below~ :')
Thanks for reading, have a great day! ^__^

x Criss Cross x / Hong Kong Street Style Outfit

Super super quick outfit post before I take my flight back to the UK and so that I don't neglect my blog~ Apologies for the lack of proper outfit photos. Ooo, first post with my new temporary hair colour. :') This is was the outfit I wore for my first time clubbing in Lan Kwai Fong, a really famous district for clubs, bars, restaurants etc in Hong Kong. The view is utterly gorgeous and the nightlife is so alive! UK nightlife does not even compare.

I went for casual look rather than a sexy club one as I was shopping the whole day before hand. So to be frank, it's not really a club outfit xD. Plus in Lan Kwai Fong there are quite a lot of people that club in casual wear i.e tank top and shorts. Advised by my friends; I wore flats instead of heals as Lan Kwai Fong is full of hella steep hills, not a good idea to walk around in heals when you're tipsy/drunk. The crop top im wearing is DIYed, it originally was part of a dress that I did not like and decided to cut it up. You can never go wrong with a monochrome pairing, so I paired it with a black high waisted tuutuu skirt. This skirt is a great choice as the high waisted style helps to cover up and not expose much skin. The tuu tuu gives a feminine princess touch too.

Outfit Details:

Top: DIYed
Skirt: Double Step
Shoes: Gabour

Once I get back, loads more (hopefully) fun and interesting content is on the way~ I shall try feature these items in future outfits so that you get a better view of them~ ^^ For now see you guys until i reach the other side of the world ^.^

Have you guys been aboard or traveled somewhere new this summer? ^^

The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink In Moisture Mask Review

My skin has been getting random dry patches due to sensitivity to weather changes and pulling constant all-nighters, so I decided to try out the Body Shop moisture sink in mask to hydrate and help repair my skin. The mask contains Vitamin E to nourish and protect the skin, cotton seed oil and rice bran to provide intense moisture and organic soya oil to moisturise and heal. The perfect benefits i'm looking for!

To use this mask, you simply apply a thin layer onto your skin and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes and then tissue off the excess as recommended. However, I like to leave it on overnight for an intensive treatment and like a sleeping pack. A small amount is enough to cover your entire face. It also has a cooling sensation when you apply it.

The mask has a gel like texture due to the glycerin - great for dehydrated skin. It sinks/melts into the skin well, absorbing in all the good stuff within seconds and does not leave any residue behind. It also has a light rose scent.

I used this mask multiple times a week and found that it didn't really do much for me. It leaves my face feeling refreshed and soft after usage; delivers moisture to my skin but not particularly well. The hydration is temporary and does not last. There are better products that would be able to offer more moisture. Not a bad product, just quite average in my opinion. I am unlikely to repurchase it. I have read some other reviews where users experienced stinging, I believe this is because the mask is more suited towards dehydrated skin rather than dry or sensitive skin. I have not experienced any stinging myself thankfully.

Pros:

  • Absorbs in quickly
  • Leaves the face feeling refreshed and cool
  • Non greasy - does not leave residue behind
  • A little goes a long way
  • Delivers a little moisture

Cons:

  • Contains parabens (preservatives)
  • Hydration does not last
  • NOT actually suitable for all skin types

Rating: 6/10

Have you tried out any of the Body Shop Vitamin E products? ^^
