MCM Comic Con March 2015 Outfit

Before anyone says anything - I am wearing shorts in the left photo, I swear XD

My friend persuaded me to go MCM Comic Convention last minute, so I didn't have a costume prepared. Here is what I threw together, in attempt to somewhat make an effort. A edgy, Japanese street style look~ I originally was going to wear leather shorts (covers by the top in the photo) but I decided to wear a smokey grey skirt instead, to have a feminine and cutesy touch. You could wear a leather biker jacket on top, to make the look more edgy. I chose not to, as I adore the contrast sleeves.

Please excuse my awkward posing, I'm not used to posing infront of  cameras / having someone else take photos for me. ;__; But after having so many photos today, i've stepped out my comfort zoned quite a bit. More outfit posts in the future, maybe? :')

Outfit Details

Top: Gerlan Jeans
Skirt: New Look
Shoes: Gabor
Headband: MCM
Bag: Somnium Premium

A few photos to sum up the amazing event! I will be attending the MCM in May too; if I still have pink hair by then, I will be cosplaying as my all time favourite anime character Yuno Gasai.

I've also vlogged~ Its been a while since i've record vlogs so i'm really rusty right now~ Need to get my recording skills up the scratch again.

Have you attend any events or conventions recently? It would be lovely to know~ :'D
My American friends told me theres an Comic Con in Seattle next week! ^^ If only I was the US >.<

MIZON Trouble Clinic AC Care Solution Acence Acne Blemish Control Soothing Gel Cream Review

I have tried MIZON products in the past and adored them. (Check out my review on SNAIL RECOVERY GEL CREAM and Trouble Clinic Acence Blemish Out Pink Spot if you haven't already~ ^^). Pink Spot is one of my favourites, so I thought that I'd try out other products in the Acence line. The Blemish Control Soothing Gel Cream is the first Mizon product I am disappointed with.

Production Description:

"A oil-free gel moisturiser that balances oil production and hydrates skin all at once. This soothing cream alleviates blemishes and prevents new ones with it patented ACNATURAL formula. It absorbs easily without stickiness while it forms a skin-protecting film that prevents more skin trouble.
Benefits: Acne Care, Oil Control, Nourishes, Brightens"

^NOOOPE, a little, NO and NO.

Packaging:

Sleek packaging; great colour combination, reminds me of a dermatologist for some reason. It has a second inner lid, but despite that, the content still leaks due to its extremely running consistency. As you can seen in the photo above.

Product:

When I first opened the product I was welcomed with an unpleasant overwhelming alcohol and lemon scent. I usually have no problems with products that contain alcohol but this gel just contains way too much. People with sensitive skin should avoid at all cost! The gel is a cloudy white colour, lightweight and has a ridiculously runny consistency. If you were to accidentally drop the product, all the contents would spill out. The formula is pretty bad...

It does apply onto the skin nicely and control oils. Theres a really nice cooling/soothing sensation when you apply it, but too bad the amount of alcohol cancels out any soothing benefits it has to offer. It also leaves a really thin film, almost like a barrier - same as sleeping packs. The more I used the gel, more redness in my skin appeared. This annoyed me because it took me ages to reduce the redness in my horrible skin. Not to mention this broke me out rather than controlling and preventing blemishes. This product irritated my skin that to the point I am now back on acne medication! Frustrating or what?!

Pros:

  • Control oils
  • Minor moisture
  • Lightweight
  • Nice cooling/soothing sensation

Cons:

  • Content leaks
  • Overwhelming alcohol scent
  • Extremely runny consistency
  • Poor formula
  • Irritates skin - increased redness and blemishes
  • Not worth the price!

Rating: 2/10

Due to my experiences, I would not recommend this anyone. I don't see why rational person would want to purchase a pricey product that contains a lot of alcohol and breaks you out when you want rid them. A standard moisturiser would have probably gave you better results.

Has anyone tried a good acne controlling/prevention moisturiser that they could recommend? >.<" Would be really appreciated! :')

Have a great day~ ^__^

Introducing YesStyle Fashion Mobile App~ + WIN $100 YesStyle Coupon!

Today's post is something a little refreshing~ Instead of my usual cosmetic reviews; in collaboration with YesStyle, i'll be introducing the YesStyle's Fashion App. I wasn't aware that YesStyle had a mobile app until now ><", so I thought it would be refreshing to share it with you guys! If you haven't heard of YesStyle before; YesStyle is an online retailer that sells a vast amount of trendy Asian fashion and beauty products. (This is where I get my Laneige and some other Korean/Japanese beauty products from ^.~)

The App is  available for iPhone and Android users. You can find the YesStyle App by simply searching "YesStyle" in the App Store or in Google Play. It's free too~

To use the app, you will need an internet connection. When you open and launch the app, the classic YesStyle logo appears for a quick few seconds and then navigates you to the home page. On the home page, you can see their last arrivals, sales and discounts. You can swipe right to see their latest products and events for males. The app runs very smoothly and does not require any loading time.

When you touch the search button (at the top left hand corner), the navigation list appears. Here can you find products, see promotions, keep up with the latest trends, manage your account etc. The design of the app is very well done and organised.

The Categories tab is where you'll all the different products YesStyle offers. There 9 categories - Women, Men, Beauty, Jewellery, Shoes, Bags, Accessories, Kids and Lifestyle. Each category has sub-categories too, so you can search for items easier. I really like that the app a grey bubble telling you how many items are available in each category.

Shopping on the app is wonderful, its just like shopping on the website. It displays the basic information of the products - image, name, price and discount is there is any. I like that YesStyle has a heart button next to each product, so that you can add the item to your wish list. If you want to find out more about a product you're looking at, you simply touch the item you want and it will navigate you, so that you can see more photos and information of the product. If you want to purchase a product, you can add the item to your shopping bag buy simply touching the green button.

You can view all the items in your bag by clicking on the Shopping Bag tab. On the Shopping Bag page, you can see the total amount of all the items and you can proceed to checkout. I briefly mentioned about adding items to your Wishlist above; you can view all the items you saved earlier  by clicking on the Wistlist tab.

Now here's one of my favourite parts of the app! The News & Features page. Here you can Ask Nikki for fashion advice and style tips, find reviews on the latest beauty products and keep up current asian fashion trends. Great for keeping up to date with the beauty and fashion world on the go. Making the app very useful for YesStyle users and for beauty + fashion enthusiasts.

If you download the YesStyle app on your mobile device and sign into your account, you will automatically earn 100 Stylebucks on your first download and sign in, making you a Bronze member so you'll receive 3% off all your purchases. Introducing Innisfree (이니스프리) Jeju Sparkling Mineral Essence

Source: Innisfreeofficial Instagram

I just saw Innisfree's Instagram post introducing their latest product - Jeju Sparkling Mineral Essence! and immediately came here to share it with you guys. As always Innisfree products are made from natural ingredients from Jeju Island. The Sparkling Mineral Essence uses water as special revitalisation agent to form the combination - carbonated mineral essences. Carbonated spring water makes up 73.6% of the product.

The product is very new so there is currently not much information on it (in English) or sold on any online stores yet. It's retails for 25,000 KRW (£14.71 / $22.71).

I am quite excited about this product as it has been seen many times on Korean beauty shows, using carbonated water can help achieve flawless skin.

Innisfree release the CF on 15/02/15 featuring YooNa from SNSD. Check it out here~

Are you guys excited for its release? :')
