Schwarzkopf LIVE Colour XXL HD - 43 Red Passion Review

For the last 6 months I have been dying my hair with Schwarzkopf LIVE Salon Style in 5-29 Intense Red. The colour faded very quickly; which was expected as I have bleached hair so it doesn't hold the hair dye pigments very well and the fact that red hair dye fades quite fast in general. I decided to try out a different shade of red as I wanted a change. I really want to dye my hair pink or lilac but I need to keep it red for prom, so for now I will just have to opt out for different shades of red. =w=

I decided to use LIVE Colour XXL HD in 43 Red Passion, as I have used the old formula "LIVE Colour XXL Colour Intense in Red Passion" before. I couldn't find it on the selves of any stores, so I believe that the old formula is now discontinued and replaced by the HD Intense Colour. I have liked the results of the old formula so I was expecting vivid and bold results with the new HD formula because you know it's HD... xD

The original retail price of the dye is £5.49. I purchased it for £4 at Superdrug, the offer is still on so grab it quick if you want to try out this dye because who doesn't love sales or discounts?!

The box contains everything you would expect from boxed dyes.

  • Developer
  • Colour cream
  • After Treatment
  • Instruction Leaflet
  • Gloves
Once I have mixed the developer and colour cream together and have applied it to my head, I left it on for 45 minutes to develop. When it finished developing, my hair looked black. So I was feeling "meh =_=" about this dye as I knew the results were going to come out darker than I expected. Then I rinsed out the dye and applied the after treatment, it was very moisturising and made my hair shinny. Anyway...

Ready for the results? ^_^

My hair before dying it - horribly faded red hair. >.<
You can see the unpleasant orange tones of the previous red dye peaking out.

Hair colour after dying and washing it - the colour did come out vivid yet some what dark? So I was quite disappointed with the results as I was expecting a brighter red since I already have red hair. However, I do like the purple tones that this red dye has.

Hair colour the next morning after dying it - the colour is very vivid in bright daylight and sunlight, which I like, as the colour intensity is soooo pretty. xD

Still the colour is a bit dark for my liking, the colour even appears quite dark in selfies~ T^T.

The dye does offer HD colour results and makes the hair very shiny. However, I highly disagree with dye being "long lasting" as a lot of the dye pigment leaks/comes out when you wash it. I have had this colour for almost 2 weeks now, and the colour of my previous hair dye is already starting to peak out. =w=

The colour is nice however it fades very quickly. Personally I may not repurchase this dye in the future, as I prefer a brighter red and a dye that doesn't fade so quickly.

What do you guys think of the dye and have you tried any on the LIVE Colour XXL HD dyes? ^^

KPop Makeup - B.A.P Inspired Eyeliner Tutorial

I believe that this is going to by first makeup pictorial on this blog? ^_^ One of my new followers requested the tutorial for B.A.P's Inspired Eyeliner look, so now that it is the Easter holidays I finally have some time to create the tutorial yayyy~ My face isn't very photogenic today since i'm super tired >.< But anyway here is my B.A.P inspired eyeliner makeup tutorial~

To start off here are pictures of Zelo's and Himchan's eyeliner that I used for reference:

B.A.P and many other KPop artist are seen supporting a bold eyeliner. The eyeliner is smokey and has a masculine characteristics due to the waterline being lined. In my version of the inspired makeup, I used grey and black eye shadow - however I think that B.A.P only used a gel eyeliner and smudged it out.

Products that I used:

E.L.F 32 Eyeshadow Palette - Warm ( Black shadow)
Gosh Trio Eyeshadow - TR15 Sense (Gun metal grey shadow)
Bobbi Brown - Long Wear Cream Shadow (I prefer using cream shadow over gel liner ^^)

If you want the overall look to be more B.A.P inspired you can wear grey circle lenses. ^^ The sunlight did wash out the photos a little bit; in real life this makeup look is more bolder. If you want the makeup to look even more bold, you can add mascara and false eyelashes. I chose to skip it, since I don't normally use mascara or wear false eyelashes in general.

This makeup is great for those with monolids as it makes the eyes look bigger, defined and enhanced. The makeup photographs beautifully! Whenever I take photos wearing this makeup look, people complement me on it and ask me how I did my makeup. >.< Welllll now you know xDDD The secret is out! ;D

Hope you guys find this tutural helpful and if you guys decide the try it out please show me! I would love to see your take on it~ ^__^

No7 Beautiful Skin Blemish Defence Serum Review

This is one of the birthday gifts I received from my wifey~ ^^ After doing a little bit of research online, I believe this product is discontinued. >.< However it is still available from some sellers on eBay ranging for £11.99 to £14.99.
This product claims:
  • To provide tailored skin nutrition for healthy looking, bright and beautiful skin
  • Oil free formula that helps to unblock pores and clear excess sebum
  • Hypo allergenic - as skin can have sensitive moments
The product has a sleek packaging that is simple yet elegant. I like that the serum comes out of a pump, this make it more hygienic. The product is hypo-allergenic, this is great for those with sensitive skin. Also it makes the product very gentle and does not dry out the skin like many other blemish products. It moisturises the skin, not amazing but it does a decent job.

The consistency of the serum is very thin, so it spread out easily and a little go a long way. Not to mention how the serum lasted for a good few months, using it day and night. The skin absorbs the serum very rapidly, leaving the skin feeling hydrated and soft.

After using this for a few months, I didn't see much results. As much as I wanted this product to help clear up my blemishes, I did not see much of a difference. Which makes me sad as I've read a few reviews of this product doing wonders people's skin. >.<

Even though this serum hasn't helped me clearing up blemishes, I did find that this product helped to prevent blemishes. This serum is great for  those with oily/spot prone skin as it is oil free and gives you a extra 1-3 hours before the skin starts to get oily again.

Overall I am neutral with this product, as it didn't give amazing results but it didn't give bad results either. So I would rate this product 2.5/5. I wouldn't recommend this serum to other people simply because there are serums that offer better results at around the same price. I do think this is great for those that want to prevent blemishes and have sensitive skin as its not often you find a hypo allergenic blemish prevention serums in the UK.

So would you guys try this product or would like to try any of No7's products? ^_^
