CHAMPAGNE PINK HAIR? | FRESHLIGHT SCHWARZKOPFT DYE REVIEW

BONJOUR HONG KONG $52

How adorable and unique does champagne pink sound for a hair colour? The packaging is even more cute! It's also what lured me into purchasing and trying out this dye. Let's jump right into the review because the result of this dye ended up pretty interesting and underwhelming at the same time...

► Contents:

The box includes the colour cream, developer, instruction leaflet, hair mask, brush applicator and a pair of gloves. Everything was written in Japanese so I didn't understand what it was saying. But it was very straightforward and easy to use as it's the same as your standard drugstore hair dyes.

► Process:

I sectioned up my hair and applied the dye onto my bleached hair, leaving it to develop for around 30 minutes. You can watch all the mixing process in the video above~ The dye made my hair look very lilac when it was developing, I thought the colour was going to turn out as a unique mauvy lilac however the results were completely different to box and not what I expected!

► Before Dying:

Yes I forgot to take a photo of my hair before I dyed it... I am literally face palming myself! So here's a screenshot of my hair colour from a Youtube video before I dyed it on the day.

► After Dying:

HERE'S WHAT WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR! The colour looks completely different to when the dye was on right? After washing out the dye, my hair turned out as cool silver blonde with a very subtle hint of pink. It's a cute colour. The pink isn't very noticeable, I wish the pink was more intense like when the dye was developing.

► After 2 Washes:

Only after 2 washes, the pink completely faded to fully silver. The colour faded so quickly, you would think that I have dyed my hair again.

► Overall:

The dye was easy to use and came with everything you would need. This is the first box dye that i've tried that DOESN'T match the box. Usually the swatches on the back of the box are fairly accurate in my opinion, but this was off the charts. I guess it may be a different story for unique fashion colours? Although I do like the colour, the dye on a whole was disappointing - the result was completely unexpected and the colour faded ridiculously quick. Therefore I would not recommend this dye. Don't fall for the cute packaging like I did! I'll give kudos to Fresh Light for marketing technique.

► Rating: 4/10

COSY CLUB, Liverpool - Lunch Review

Another food diary post because eating is all I want to do right now. Anyway~ when exploring new cities, trying out new food places is of course a must! We was originally going to visit a different cafe but we got attracted in by all the pretty lights and it seemed like a decent place for brunch so why not?

► Atmosphere:

Located right in Liverpool's city centre, it's easy to find or stumble across on. The restaurant walls were decorated with historic paintings from head to toe, it almost felt like you were eating in an art museum! A very Instagram worthy place if you enjoy taking pictures of interior. Comfy cushioned chairs and super relax vibes, it tights nicely in with the name of Cosy Club.

► Drinks:

You know I love a bit of fizz or bevvies on my blog, so we went for some mocktails. I know, it's sadly not some cheeky cocktails but we were going to a festival after so we decided to save the drinking for later.

I went for Virgin Mojito - the perfect refreshing summer drink. It has the classic fresh mint, limes, sugar and soda. Sharp flavour and delightful, it was what I needed to get the day started. My friend Claudia went for Pink Lemonade, which consists of lemonade, pomegranate, strawberry, lemon juice and ginger ale. Great choice if you're after something sweet yet citrusy.

► Food:

Time for the main part! They had a deal where you get 3 choice of Tapas for around £12 so we had 2 BBQ chicken wings because you know girls love their wings, with Garlic King Prawns. The wings taste bomb and were succulent. They also gave us complimentary bread, which would of been nice if it had butter too.

I was so ecstatic when I saw they had a vegan menu! However... when what I ordered came I was a bit disappointed to say. I went for the Avocado Brunch, which consists of avocado, tomato, coriander and lime on a toasted puccia bread. It wasn't terrible or amazing, average I would say. With the name Avocado Brunch you would expect it to have a lot more avocado. It's nice to see restaurants trying to accommodate to people's dietary preferences, but at this point I still think it's for capitalist gain purposes unless the restaurant is fully vegan.

► Overall:

Overall in nutshell - the atmosphere was great and you get a nice view of the city as well. Drink were good and they offer a range of choices. Food wise it was mediocre; I wouldn't mind going again but I am very unlikely to order the Avocado Brunch again.

EMOTIONALLY UNAVAILABLE CLUB | FIVEPOUNDTEE

Why be like everyone else in the Anti Social Club when you can be a black sheep in the Emotionally Unavailable Club?

When I saw this tee I knew I immediately needed it in my life! It reminded me so much of their 00 F*CKS GIVEN tee. Super simple and chill design, yet it's edgy af. I went for a more laid back and casual vibe in the pics above, by styling it with a denim jacket. But if you really wanted to take it the next level and give off cold emotionally unavailable vibes then you can style it a chocker and some grey lipstick. I am wearing NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Stone Fox.

See what I mean by it take the shirt/look to a whole new level? I look a lot more badass than a I actually am eeks.

Do you prefer to style your shirts casually or more edgy? ^^

JAMIE'S ITALIAN, Birmingham. Super Lunch Menu Review

Jamie's Italian were super lovely and invited me to try out their scrumptious Super Lunch Menu, which is an amazing deal where you can chose to have a two or three course lunch. I went for the 3 course because I love me some good dessert! You've got to read until the end because dessert is always the best part of course!

► Atmosphere:

The restaurant is located in the Bullring, so you get a lovely view of Birmingham's well known funky/curvy architecture. The atmosphere is super chilled, I adored the open and relaxing vibe it gave off. Friendly staff and great service to top it off, definitely makes it the perfect place for lunch.

► Drinks:

As it's summer, the waitress recommend us to try out the Watermelon Mojito which I believe is their summer edition of the original Jamie's Mojito. If you're expecting your usual sharp mojito cocktail, this is something different. The watermelon flavour is calming, the Prosecco gives it a little bubble while the lime and mint gives it a hint of freshness. It's a nice drink if you're in the mood something relaxing yet refreshing. I personally prefer fruity drinks so next time I think i'll go for their Peach & Apricot Collins cocktail.

► Starters:

For starters my food buddy - Tom went for Fritto Misto which is crispy fried fish and squid (sustainable sourced). I love that more restaurants are going with sustainably source ingredients. He said it was wonderful and it really made him want to go the beach. If you are after a starter that's insta worthy or gives you vacation vibes, Fritto Misto is a good choice.

I opted out for the Truffle Tagliatelle, which is pasta served with an incredible truffle butter and aged parmesan cheese. Topped with more shaved black truffle to finish off. The truffle butter was silky, had the perfect amount of rich truffle flavour that wasn't overpowering or underwhelming. Just amazing! I've always want try to truffle from watching Buzzfeed's Worth It series as they're always eating truffle, caviar or gold! Oh btw, when you try the shaved truffle it taste almost like mushroom but it definitely has a distinct taste.

► Main:

How mouthwatering do our mains look? I am excited to go back for more! But for our mains, Tom went for the Italian Steak and Fries. Curious as to how Italian steak is different from French or British steak because I haven't tried it before, I asked the waiter and they described the meat as slightly tougher and has more texture. The steak was covered in a generous amount of garlic butter and you could taste the perfected grill flavour when indulging the steak. Highly recommend!

As I have been reducing my meat intake recently I went for a new vegetarian dish on the Super Lunch Menu, Gnocchi Sorrentina. Which is organic potato gnocchi that has been beautifully slow roasted in a rich tomato sauce. It also has some cherry tomatoes that bust with flavour and creamy mozzarella. You could taste that the restaurant uses high quality ingredients. As a cheese lover, I do wish there was more mozzarella because it was amazing! Probably one of the nicest mozzarella i've tried. The dish was very filling, I was in mini food coma after waiting for dessert.

► Dessert:

Saving the best for last, dessert time! If I am not having cheesecake, Tiramisu is my go to dessert. Jamie did not disappointment with his take on the classic. It had multiple delicate layers of coffee flavoured sponge, luscious mascarpone cheese and chocolate that gave a lovely texture. Very well done. I could go for seconds!

Tom went for the Mighty Mess Sundae, which consist of a vanilla ice cream, strawberry yoghurt, smashed meringue, strawberry compote and baby basil. You've got a lot of fun going in one small bowl. Tom loved it and was surprised how well the basil and strawberry compote combination worked.

► Overall & Info:

Overall it was a super chill and delightful experience. It's an absolutely lovely place to go for lunch when taking a break from the office with a college or to take the family to. I adore the casual approach the resultant has. The food is quality and top notch. The friendly staff made sure everything was perfect and was very open to answering my questions. I definitely highly recommend it and will be going back for more.
