MY CIRCLE LENS COLLECTION! - I.FAIRY SIBERIAN | LensVillage Influencer Collection 30% Off!

I'm super excited to announce and it's so bizarre to say this but I HAVE A CIRCLE LENS COLLAB COLLECTION WITH LENSVILLAGE, ohhhhhh maaaaaa guudddd. ANDDD you can get 30% off my favourite circle lenses! <3

Lens Village has teamed up with 5 influencers to make a circle lenses collection and ya girl is one of them! I chose the i.Fairy Siberian series for you guys because there was a period where I was obsessed with these and I wore it like almost every single day. You can scroll through my insta to know that I'm not lying. I like lenses that lighten my eyes, yet looks natural and is long wear.

I wear my lenses for really long, usually for 10 hours or more. I know it's bad for the eyes but these are super comfortable and don't dry out my eyes. I tend to forget that I'm actually wearing them until someone compliments them. I like that these make your eyes pop with a noticeable colour. Normally I go for grey lenses instead of blue, but in some lighting these look grey, so you get the best of both worlds. You can read my full review of them here.

Discount Code!

My code only works for the Siberian line - there’s blue, hazel and grey! Blue has prescription options, while hazel and grey are only available in plano. You get can get 30% off them using “30MISHCHEUNGX” on lensvillage.com. So it would be $16.80 instead of $24!

If this doesn’t tickle your pickle, Lens Village also has 4 other lens series in the influencer collection. 🤗💕 I hope you guys enjoy my choice of lenses for you and the generous discount treat! ^.<

The discount sadly ends on 18th or 19th November so be quick!

THERE'S FAKES ALREADY! Huda Beauty New Nude Palette | REAL vs FAKE #2

Huda Beauty's latest palette - New Nude launched on the 1st of November, just over two weeks ago and there are fake palettes quickly distributing around the market already! It's scary how quickly they can manufacture counterfeits and what's even scarier is there isn't one fake palette but three! There's probably more but I'll show you the ones i've found, let's get right into comparing the real with the fakes.

► Packaging

REAL: The box packaging is white, the font is nude pink with gold outlines. As for the eyeshadow packaging, it's printed with a matte finish, "Nude" reflects halo when it catches direct light and the Huda Beauty logo is also embossed like the rest of her rest palettes. The font colour for the Huda logo is gold on the orignal palette.

FAKE: The box packaging is silver with a shiny halo reflect. The font is also much smaller than the original. The eyeshadow packaging is printed in a shiny finish and it also reflects halo on the whole cover, not only on the word nude. The font colour for the word "Nude" isn't nude pink like the original, it's straight up halo silver. As for the Huda logo, the font is a different colour to the original - Huda is in white and Beauty is in gold.

► Eyeshadow Shades

Source: Huda Beauty Instagram

REAL: The original has stunning shimmers with large foil like pieces, pressed glitters, mattes and a concealer. The colour theme is centred around cool toned pinky mauves.

FAKE 1: This is the first one of the fake palettes, I would say they got the colours pretty close! It's only a little tad more vibrant. If the palette was all matte, it would be quite hard to differentiate the real from the fake. We know this one is a fake because the glitter and shimmer shades are completely off, I guess Huda's textured shadows are hard to replicate and using basic shimmers help to cut the cost down.

FAKE 2: The colours in this palette is pretty close too! It's slightly pinkier and the shimmers are more reflective than the previous palette. I think this manufacture actually did a good job. By the photo, "Concealed" doesn't seem to be a concealer and looks more like a matte shadow.

FAKE 3: The last of fake palettes I've found and the worst replica of them all! This one doesn't have a concealer and has mustard yellow shade instead. The colours are very off from the original, the colours are more saturated and not ashy. They've used glitter for the foil like shadows and shimmers for the pressed glitter. The packaging inside of the palette has a shiny finish, whereas the original is matte.

They all have something that helps you to easily spot it's not legitimate.

Please be careful when purchasing makeup online on sites like eBay, if you are not buying from the official retailer's websites or their stockholders! If you can, always ask the seller if they still have the proof of purchase or if they could take photos of the palette inside so you can see what you're clearly getting. x

REAL vs FAKE #1 | Norvina Palette Anastasia Beverly Hills

With the makeup industry exploding and society defining their success by owning branded luxury goods, more and more counterfeit makeup hit the market. Many people want branded goods (or lookalikes) but without paying the high cost. It's said, "For the price of an authentic lipstick, you can purchase four lookalikes."

Although I personally wouldn't use fake makeup, I do love seeing comparisons between the real deal and the fake one because sometimes they look shockingly similar! So I want to start a new blog series where I dig the internet for images of genuine products and their counterfeit sister, i'm going to start the series with one of my favourite brands - Anastasia!

► Packaging

REAL: The Anastasia printing is slightly raised on the cardboard packaging. The palette has the classic ABH suede material and the colour is a medium cool toned lilac.

FAKE: On the cardboard packaging, the Anastasia printing looks flat, it doesn't have that raised embossed print effect. Probably to cut the cost. The gold is also more yellow and a tad darker. The Norvina font is also slightly bolder. As for the palette packaging, you can see the colour is completely different from the original one, it's a deeper royal purple colour.

► Shadows

REAL: The metallic shadows are gorgeous and have a really nice foil like reflet. The colours look cool toned and pastel. There are 7 metallics and 7 mattes.

FAKE: Well well well, as you can see the colours are very drastically different, this is probably one of the worst knock-offs I've seen because it's so obviously different. The shades are pinker rather than purple, it's warm-toned and the metallics are done in a lacklustre shimmer formula. I think the fake Wild Child looks similar but everything else is off. They've even spelt Soul as Sovl.

I think if someone were to look at a fake Norvina palette before purchasing it, they would be easily able to spot it's not legit. They might get fooled by the darker packaging but there's no way someone would fall for the different shades.

What makeup would you like to see upcoming in this series?

Goodbye MishCheungX, Hello Michelle Cheungg

If you've been following for my blog a while, you would know it has been called MishCheungX for 5 years+. I'm finally changing it to Michelle Cheungg.

From www.mishcheungx.com to www.michellecheungg.com - I decided to take the plunge and change it, knowing that it would affect by traffic DRASTICALLY for a good while (cries). I wasn't happy with the username I came up with when I was 15, is anyone ever happy with their teenager name? Whenever I went to blogging and network events, people would think my blog was "Miss" and not "Mish", so it was difficult for people to note down and it was always easily mistaken. :(

Before I shortened my name to Mish, but now I'm keeping it and I'm making my surname longer. There's an extra g at the end because Michelle Cheung is such a common Asian name that someone else has taken it! Also because michellecheung.com cost £1350+ lmaoooo, sorry I'm too broke to be paying that amount just for an URL. So in a way, I was forced to put the extra g or extra something!

I hope you guys will keep reading my blog (share it would your friends, family, your next door neighbour, your cat, I'm kidding but I'm not kidding)! It's still going to be the same and I want to go hardcore on it to bring you guys good content again, as I know I wasn't updating it this year sadly because of how hectic my last year of university was. BUT IM BACK, BACK AGAIN. (AND BETTER THAN EVERRR).

Here's to a new chapter of my blog and to welcome new beginning! <3 *cheers*
