Mini Pink Drugstore Beauty Haul~

Hello from 10,668 meters high up in the sky! I am currently writing this post on my flight from UK to Paris~ Here is a quick post of a few items I picked up from Boots~ I just noticed most of the items are pink except for the lilac nail polish so just excuse that.

  • WAH London Nail Polish - Baby Gurl  (Pink)
  • WAH London Nail Polish - Check Your Lipstick (Lilac)
  • Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Devotion
I put myself on a lippie ban, but I really needed this colour because it's just so gorgeous when you swatch it! ><

  • Soap & Glory Archery D-I-Y Brow Bar
I really like that this eye brow palette has two powder shades, wax and a highlighter! The highlighter is what caught my eye; I decided to get one for my friend too~ :')

  • Dior Addict 2 Perfume
I like to purchase perfume whenever I visit a new place so whenever I spray it, it brings back happy memories~ ^__^ Else one else do this?

Is anyone else going on holiday? ^^ if not, what are your summer plans? :')

Innisfree Whitening Pore Kit - Facial Cleanser, Skin Toner & Cream Review

Using grass as background for Innisfree products to match the brand's nature moto huehue. Anyway~ I got this trail kit last summer when I purchased a few items from the Innissfree store in Hong Kong. I remember wanting to purchase the full size products at the time but I didn't as the Whitening Pore line is quite pricey compared to their other ranges, plus there wasn't any reviews on them. I was sooooo happy when they gave me this along with some other examples~ I do love how generous Korean Beauty brands are with their examples! <3

So the trial kit comes with 3 sample sized Whitening Pore line products - facial cleanser, toner and moisturiser. All the products have citrus and herby scent, thats light and refreshing.

Starting off with the cleanser; it's creamy and foamy, lathers really nicely on your face and cleanses the skin nicely without drying it out. It actually feels really hydrating and leaves a moist radiant finish. So the skin appears brightened and smooth.

Next step, toner~ This toner focuses on treating skin tone, dark spots and the skin's texture. The toner is very moisturising and its reminds me of Laneige toners. The texture is light and full of moisture, its a really lovely feeling when you apply it. Like your face just feels very supple. ^^ This toner has to be my favourite out the 3 and might actually become one of my holy grail products!

Lastly the moisturiser! Even though innissfree has called it a cream, it has a actually has a gel like texture. I knew it has a gel texture as I tried in store, but to some it may be a surprise as most whitening moisturisers have a creamy texture. I actually prefer this as its lighter and cooling, yet still gives amazing results. Hydrating, brightens and improves skin texture.

Overall I love this line and I do think it's worth the price (if you purchase the full size~) for the results it delivers. The results are not immediate, it happens gradually and steadily over a few uses but its definitely there! All the products have contributed to improving my skin texture and making it more smooth, moist, bright and radiant. Using a few products from the Whitening Pore line as helped to maximise the results. As for pores, I guess they are slightly less visible but my pores are pretty huge to begin with. I don't really have dark spots unless you count acne scars as them as well, but yes it helped fade my acne scars! Loveee the benefits of this line! Amazing products, why are these not hyped? I am keen on purchasing the full sized products when i'm back in Hong Kong next week~ ^^

Have you tried any new innisfree or other Korean beauty products lately?

RINGS AND TINGS Haul and Jewellery Review

I've been hiatus/slow on blogging due to exams but now i'm freeeee~ Time to pull my socks back up! As you read from the title, today's post is for all my jewellery lovers~ I love accessories but i'm just too damn lazy to wear them, so this is one of those few occasions you'll see me wearing some. Rings and Tings were so generous sending me a few items! When they contacted me they just asked which were my favourite pieces, I didn't expect to receive them all wahhhh, thank you! <3

The first item I picked out was their Snowflake Ear Cuff (LINK)

I really like the intricate details; don't ask me why but it reminds me of some Game of Thrones shizzal. It's has one stud that goes through your standard lobe and a cuff at the top to hold the piece in place. Great for those with only one piercing or don't have their helix pierced. I personally found the ear cuff uncomfortable, as it's heavy. Another downside is that you can only wear it on your left ear. My left ear is hidden by my hair most of the time since my hair is parted to the left, so as much I like the ear cuff I am unlikely to wear it.

Second item, Dark Silver Tone Beads and Crystal Spike Necklace (LINK):

This one is my favourite of them all! It's edgy, it's glam, it's fierce - the perfect dark glamour piece. You could wear this casually or spice up a formal dress if you want something different. Imagine how nice this would be styled with a sweetheart dress or white dress/blouse/cami top. Ahhhh, I should of done that! *facepalming myself so hard rn* But yes, I love this and the lovely crystal detail.

Multi Spike Necklace (LINK):

I remember when everyone had a spike necklace, well now I finally have one too even though its 2000 and late. Everyone has moved onto chokers now xD. Classic piece; it's available in 3 colours - vintage gold, gold and silver. I have it in vintage gold, which looks almost like brass. Yay to colour variety~

Deer Filigree Bib Necklace (LINK):

Sorry this is like the only pose I do, someone teach me how to model? Anyway, last item! I saved the boldest to last. This statement necklace is bound to grab attention. Great for adding detail to a minimalistic outfit. It's available in gold and silver. Will not lie, I regret not choosing it in silver, gold jewellery doesn't really go well with my hair colours or skin tone. >< The chain is adjustable, so can wear it low or high like I did.

Overall I like the items they offer, the store has a massive range of jewellery so there's something for everyone, the quality is decent its just like jewellery you find in Topshop / River Island and their prices are affordable too. ^^ They also have clothing, shoes, bags etc (basically the tings).  If you want to check them out, you can head over to www.ringsandtings.com. Which piece is your favourite? Tell me in the comments down below! Until next time, too-dahs~

SNSD / TTS Tiffany Hwang Dear Santa Inspired Nail Tutorial

On Korean beauty shows, Tiffany is known for her nails. Even on her sub group's show - The TaeTiSeo, you can see that Tiffany gets a manicure done very frequently. Her nails are to die for, they're so pretty! I decided to recreate her Dear Santa nails since it seems easy enough to do at home. ^^

Here is a screenshot of her nails~ From my perspective I think it's the classic silver/clear rhinestone look.

To achieve this look, I simply applied a silver colour as a base and then a glitter coat to stick the rhinestones onto my nails. Lastly, used a top coat to seal off the hard work. Here is my take on it and the finsihed look~ I think it would have been prettier if I used smaller rhinestones (my friend said he got trypophobia from looking at them lolol, sorry!) and if I spent my time on it since I got lazy ehhh.

But if you want to see how I did them, i've filmed the process and linked the video tutorial at the top of this post! Or you can click here :')

Have a nice day~
* posts will be slow due to exam period wahhhh T___T

FANCL T-Zone Mask Review

If you ever visit Asia or have been in Asia, you will likely see FANCL products. FANCL is a really popular Japanese brand~ ^^ I stumbled on these limited edition masks when browsing on YesStyle and was intrigued to try it because it focuses on the T-zone to reduce sebum and tighten up pores. I couldn't find any reviews on them to see if they actually work, so ehhhh i'll be the guinea pig. xD You get 4 sheets for £22.97 which equals out to £5.74 per sheet. Rip my purse T__T

The mask contains Green Tea and Kiwi Extracts which help to clarify skin and tighten pores; hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin and help balance it so that it has a matte finish. It also contains "intensive mattifiers" to help regulate excess sebum activity. As for the other "helps achieve refined skin" bs, I won't bother with that since that is very unlikely. It might over time but not with 4 sheets in my opinion.

I can't read Japanese but illustration are very self explanatory on how to use the mask~

As you can see, the mask doesn't fit onto my face very well! I've tried adjusting it but maybe my face is too big for it... xD It has a zesty citrus scent, the scent actually reminds me of Mizon Trouble Care Acne Control Soothing Gel Cream except without the overwhelming alcohol. When you apply the mask, there's a cool and tingly sensation. Feels like its clarifying and detoxing my skin~

My skin does feel slightly more hydrated and has a semi matte finish after use, though the result weren't very obvious. It's not amazingly mattifying, since the mask is suppose to provide the cheeks moisture too which is hard to formulate a moisturising yet mattifying mask. Overall a decent mask. If you want a mask to mattify your skin, I would recommend you to use a normal sheet mask and then apply a mattyfying moisturiser/primer which has more noticeable results and is more cost effective.

Personally I think you're better off getting 2 boxes of My Beauty Diary masks (20 sheets) or other drug store sheet masks, which provides the same results (or better) and you would still have some leftover change. But if you have the money to splurge out then go ahead~

Rating: 6.5/10
